WHO WE ARE

IDC Institut de Coaching SA, founded in Geneva in 1998, is a professional coaching training organisation and a leader in French-speaking Switzerland. The training programmes delivered are bilingual, in French and English. Certification leads to a Professional Certified Coach Diploma, accredited by several official organisations, namely the International Coaching Federation (USA) and EduQua (Switzerland). The training programme is characterised by an interactive and practical approach. It is delivered by an international team of trainers (Swiss, French and American), all professional coaches with extensive experience in a variety of fields, particularly in the corporate world.

The coaching certification training programme benefits from two accreditations: an international Level 2 accreditation from the International Coaching Federation (ICF ) and the Swiss EduQua label, a quality certification for continuing education institutions. These accreditations apply to the training programmes delivered in both French and English.

OUR VISION OF COACHING

We have an optimistic view of the latent capacity of human beings. Coaching is a means of awakening, developing and realizing this capacity.
We believe in a world where everyone is responsible for their own success, for what they accomplish in life and their self-fulfilment.
We are convinced that the real performance starts with the valorisation of the human being, when individuals experience meaning in what they do.

IDC COACHING MODEL

Any sound structure must be built on solid foundations.

Using high-quality materials and a harmonious architectural design also ensures its durability and beauty.

This metaphor has guided us in building the IDC coaching model. We use it both in the coaching process itself and in our training approach.

The essence of this approach is to help individuals become aware of their full potential, their personal values and, in a word, their identity.

Integrating one’s deeper identity brings greater meaning and dimension to life.

ICF ACCREDITATIONS

International Coaching Federation

International Coach Federation (ICF) is the largest professional coaching association in the world, with more than 56,000 members in 145 countries. Its aim is to preserve the integrity of this profession throughout the world through a code of ethics, precise professional standards and demanding quality criteria. ICF has established accreditation programmes for training organisations and professional coaches in order to ensure the quality of the services provided.

ICF Level 2

LEVEL 2 Accreditation

The IDC Certification Training is accredited LEVEL 2 (Accredited Coach Education) by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) for a total of 156 training hours. ICF accreditation concluded an extremely rigorous review process of the entire training programme, its structure, its content and the quality of the training team, conducted by a group of independent experts. LEVEL 2 accreditation applies to the IDC programme “Professional Training in Coaching”, which inseparably includes Levels I – II – III (Certification).

What are the advantages?

  • Validation of your diploma at international level.
  • Access, for those who apply to ICF, to the ACC (Associate Certified Coach) and PCC (Professional Certified Coach) levels.
  • Requirement to prove 100 hours of coaching (ACC) or 500 hours (PCC) and to complete a multiple-choice questionnaire. ICF accreditation is not automatic; an application file must be submitted to the organisation.

ICF Level 1

Level 1 Accreditation

The IDC “Master Coach in Leadership and Communication” programme is accredited LEVEL 1 (Approved Coach Education) by ICF for a total of 165 training hours. The LEVEL 1 designation is awarded to programmes that follow the definition of coaching, the code of ethics and ICF core competencies, and that meet the professional quality criteria established by ICF for training programmes.

What are the advantages?

  • Recognition of quality by an official ICF organisation, valid throughout the world.
  • Possibility of obtaining individual accreditation from ICF, as the Master training hours (165 hours) are accepted as part of a so-called “LEVEL 1” accreditation application. See the requirements on the ICF website.

EDUQUA ACCREDITATION

EduQua

IDC has received the EduQua label, the Swiss quality certificate for continuing education institutions. This accreditation applies to all IDC training programmes, namely professional coaching training, Executive Coaching Training and the Master. The standards established by the EduQua charter aim to improve transparency in the description of training offers as well as the quality of the services provided.

What are the advantages?

  • Control of the solidity and transferability of knowledge in the training programmes.
  • Transparency in the presentation of training offers.
  • Validity of the trainers’ competencies, both at personal and methodological and pedagogical levels.
