IDC CERTIFICATION / ICF CREDENTIALING – WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

ACTP ACCREDITATION OF THE IDC DIPLOMA

  • The professional coaching training with IDC certification is an ACTP (Accredited Coach Training Program) of the International Coach Federation (ICF). When completed an IDC “Diploma of Certified Professional Coach” is awarded.
  • The ACTP credentialing is awarded after independent experts have carried a rigorous examination of the training course, its structure, its content and the quality of the training team. It has to be renewed every 3 years.
  • The ACTP applies to the IDC “Professional Coaching Training“ programme that must include the levels I – II – III (Certification).

BENEFITS  OF THE ACTP ACCREDITATION

  • ACTP accreditation from the ICF ensures that your diploma is recognized internationally.
  • It allows access, when requested from the ICF, to the ACC (Associate Certified Coach) and PCC (Professional Certified Coach) levels, after going through a written exam called “Coach Knowledge Assessment (CKA) and by proving that you have completed 100 hours of coaching (ACC) or 500 hours (PCC).
  • A credentialing by ICF gives you a greater visibility as well as the benefit of the recognition of your diploma by two professional bodies, ICF and IDC.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE: the ICF accreditation is not automatic. A bid must be filed with the organization. The IDC training with the certification process give to the student far more than the required number of coaching training as well as 2/3 of the coaching experience requested for the ICF application (ACC level).
